The Ultimate Challenge: Hawaii's Ironman Competition

I ordered a ballcap just prior to leaving for Hawaii to do the Ironman. I had heard so much about the intense heat over there and I am well aware what heat can do to performance, especially over the course of 10+ hours.

103 degrees and 80% humidity is no match for CoolTek!

When we first arrived in Sydney, it was in the middle of a heat wave. In fact, two days ago saw a record high 39 degrees C. (103 F). Needless to say, I've had numerous opportunities to use the vest, the hat, and the neckband. What a difference they have made. On the hot but tolerable days I just use the hat and its cooling qualities do the trick. On the really hot days I put on the vest with just a t-shirt over it. It lasts all day long and truly makes a difference. My wife complains about how hot and sweaty she is and I'm feeling pretty darn good. The humidity here is extremely high. Yesterday, it was down to 70% humidity, but most days we have been here it has been in the high 80% or low 90% - A good test for your products. I recommend these garments to anyone who has a desire to stay cool in the heat.

I have MS and this year I went into business mowing lawns in Texas. I bought a riding mower and attached a mount to it for the edger and blower so that I did not have to walk. My only problem then was the heat. We had over 90 days without rain and temperatures in the low 100 -110 range. I was able to work in the heat 5 - 6 hours per day using my vest and hat. Here in the Carolinas summer can be pretty brutal. Last year we started supplying our people with your neckbands and they were a big hit. It is still only February and already people are asking if we will have them again this year. I just wanted to write to let you know how wonderful the nylon pullover vest and ball cap have worked under the intense heat of road racing. In this past year I have experienced fatigue and nausea due to the extreme heat of both driving in these hot summer months and sitting in the pit area during grid or yellow flag, in full Nomex under layers and driving suit. While I have tried any number of remedies to keep cool while in the car or to cool off before and after driving, the results were only temporary and some were rather shocking to the system! Ice water poured over your head, wet Nomex and wet hair, ice packets in the driving suit, ice packets on the neck and wrists - none of the measures I tried were effective and most were very uncomfortable! The CoolTek vest is a treasure...It is not shocking to my body and, more important, it keeps my body temperature constant. THAT is what has kept me cool and fit to drive weekend after weekend on even the hottest July and August day. I put the ball cap on when I am not driving to keep my body temperature down and then use the vest under my driving suit to keep me cool and collected when in the car. The CoolTek vest and ball cap are a must for anyone who is working outside or participating in active sports. CoolTek Vest and Cap Enable MS Patient to Enjoy Summertime Horseback Riding.

I am writing to tell you just how much it meant to me to have your zip-up vest and the cap this summer. As you know, I wanted these items specifically for the purpose of riding horses. Because I have MS, I cannot tolerate heat and therefore, must restrict my riding times to the cooler parts of the day. However, this summer there weren't cool evenings until after the sun went down. That meant we had to ride mostly in the mornings and they tended to warm up pretty quickly. With our dry climate I was only able to get about two hours of cooling time; however, I was in fine shape at the end of our rides, whereas our kids (who rode with me) would be complaining many times that it was hot. I can't imagine being able to ride as much as I did without the vest and cap. I counted on them heavily. I especially like the ease in getting the vest and cap cooled and their light weighted-ness. Home Renovator Stays Cool in Humid Conditions

I have worked in renovation of older homes. This includes working for prolonged periods in rooms with little ventilation. The summer heat in the Southern Illinois area can be severe, because the heat can often be near or over 100 degrees in the summer, with relative humidity near 100 per cent. I have known people from tropical areas of the world and from Southern areas of the United States who are surprised by some of the severe heat we have. I use your vest and caps to allow me to more easily work and tolerate this heat. I have found the tan color very easy to wash clean. I have also been satisfied using your vest and cap when cutting brush. I have used your aviator liner under a motorcycle helmet. This does a good job of keeping me cool, and it protects the helmet from sweat.
